Agwest Veterinary group is a progressive farm animal veterinary practice with a head office in Abbotsford, BC and provides regular service to clients in the Fraser Valley and the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island.
Founded in 2004, Agwest Veterinary Group has grown to a team of seven veterinarians. Agwest offers a comprehensive list of bovine and equine services through on-farm ambulatory practice and a haul in medical facility at our Abbotsford location.
Agwest’s Bovine department takes a solutions-based approach. Our collaborative team works with other industry professionals to help our clients achieve their goals. Specific services include: Herd Health Management, Data & Records Analysis, Technician Services, Embryo Transfer, IVF, Milk Quality/Udder Health/Milking Systems Analysis, Cow Comfort/Lameness Evaluation, Barn Facility Evaluation and Planning, Farm Business Consulting, Nutrition, Welfare, Radiology (ultrasound & X-Ray), Obstetrics, Medicine, Surgery, and Acupuncture.
Agwest’s Equine department consists of a progressive, professional team of veterinarians and support staff serving a range of clients with competitive, performance horses and pleasure horses. Specific services include: Sports Medicine/Soundness exams, Radiology (Ultrasound & X-Ray), Internal Medicine, Endoscopy, Dentistry, Reproduction (AI & ET), Shock Wave Therapy, and Acupuncture.
British Columbia
Beausejour Animal Hospital is a nine-doctor mixed animal practice. Our caring and wonderful staff provide a full range of up to date and modern health services to all kinds of pets. We have a new clinic with an in-house lab, ultrasound, x-ray, surgical and dental suites, to provide the highest standard of health care to all companion animals. Our large animal portion provides services to dairy farms, beef farms, equine, as well as some hobby farm livestock. The practice provides a full range of services to our dairy producers to help on all aspects of the farm, including herd health production medicine and surgery. We strongly believe in doing what’s best for the farm and taking an unbiased scientific approach to decision making. We use this philosophy when making recommendations on herd health, production, performance and therefore profitability of a herd.
Manitoba
Bow Valley Genetics provides a unique client centered approach to the genetic advancement of their customer’s herds. We provide individualized treatment of their client’s donor females and bulls. Bow Valley Genetics aims to achieve the highest quality of animal care and comfort. We provide top notch animal management with staff that strive to provide you with the best possible results. We offer custom semen collection for export, domestic or owners use, conventional embryo collection and transfer, and in vitro fertilization services. Our embryos services can be provided on farm with our mobile lab or in house at our donor facility.
Alberta
Bow Valley Veterinary Group Ltd. provides full health programs to all small animal and cattle operations. Small animals services provided through Bow Valley Companion Animal include routine vaccination and exams, routine spay and neuters, emergency surgery, dental prophy and surgery, and a wide array of in clinic lab and diagnostic imaging services. The companion animal team strives to provide compassionate, creative, and caring solutions for their small animal patients.
Bow Valley Livestock Health provides full herd programs for cow-calf, feedlot, and dairy clients with on farm auditing, routine health and performance consultation. As well as feed/water analysis and nutritional consultation, record management with online data management program, and more! We pride ourselves in providing high quality medicine to not only the herd but each individual with thorough medicine and surgical services in-clinic and on farm. We perform routine pregnancy diagnosis (palpation/ultrasound), pregnancy staging, heifer palpation, bull breeding soundness evaluation, post-mortems, sick animal exams, AI-breeding, AI synchronization program consultation, and genetic selection and consultation. Bow Valley Livestock Health strives to ensure producers are sustainable and meeting industry best practices.
Alberta
Kirkton Bovine Services provides individual and herd health services for dairy, beef, feedlot and small ruminant flocks. Our team of 10 large animal veterinarians offer 24-hour coverage as well as regularly scheduled routine farm calls. With our team we are able to address many areas of importance on farms and have developed a special interest in calf health, milk quality, reproduction, nutrition, quota management and farm finance.
At Kirkton we aim to be leaders in our communities, our farm organizations and our veterinary profession. We look forward to a strong future in Ontario agriculture.
ProVitro IVF & ET Services
ProVitro IVF & ET Services is comprised of Drs. Adam Haight and Gabriel Couto of the Kirkton Veterinary Clinic, Alex and Janet McIntosh of McIntosh Embryo Transfer, and Frank and Jimmy Donkers of Fradon Holsteins and Donor Facility. Located in Southwestern Ontario, Provitro was the first Boviteq accredited team in Canada. Having over 50+ years of experience this team is able to produce excellent results. Fradon Donor Facility is located immediately North of Woodstock Ontario (just off of highway 401) which allows convenient access for ProVitro’s clients from across Ontario, Quebec, and into the United States.
In 2019 Dr. Adam Haight and his Kirkton Veterinary Clinic team performed over 300 conventional ET flushes in addition to 522 OPU collections, while also exporting over 300 embryos internationally. Dr. Adam Haight and his team strive to exceed their client’s expectations through customer service, attention to detail and efficiency, in both conventional embryo transfer as well as OPU. ProVitro IVF & ET Services is a full-service facility that is happy to work with new and existing clients to achieve their herd and marketing goals.
Ontario
Gull Lake Veterinary Services strives to provide quality preventative, herd and individual farm animal care to the dairy, beef, and small ruminant industry in Central Alberta through consultation and collaboration with our producers. We care about the well being of animals as well as the relationships built with our clients. Our dedicated staff works effectively with our clients in all aspects of the veterinary process.

At Livestock Veterinary Services, we are passionate about the health and well being of cattle and the people who raise them. We are committed to delivering current knowledge and providing quality service to Alberta’s diverse and progressive farmers and ranchers.
In addition to our core reproductive and consulting services, our veterinarians have completed specific continuing education courses and training certifications in order to provide farmers with additional services. In 2018, Dr Melissa Wallace became a certified consultant on Positive Pressure Tube Ventilation Systems for both calf and dairy barns. In 2019, Dr. Betty-Jo Bradley and Dr. Kelli Pinner completed the Dairy Health Management Certificate program through the University of Guelph. Dr. Bradley has also taken additional training from the National Mastitis Council in 2019/20 to provide updated milk quality consulting services.

We provide production and disease prevention consultation for our clients in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Ontario. From our locations in Airdrie, Alberta, Stratford, Ontario and Abbotsford, British Columbia our veterinary and technical teams provide consulting, health programs, auditing, lab services, contract research and project management services. Our goal at Poultry Health Services is to provide innovative solutions for the commercial poultry industry by using scientific and evidence-based medicine to improve bird health, welfare, quality and profitability. We put emphasis on being proactive, aligned and efficient; capturing synergies to minimize risk and take our client operations to new levels of performance, competitiveness and sustainability.
